New Job today
Well I started my new job today. It went great, but I was so tired when I came home. I think tomorrow we will be even busier. The good thing is time goes by so quickly.
Reasons why Merritt will be an only child (for now at least)
When Merritt was about two, he dumped out most the stuffing from his bean bag chair. My husband and I were histerical with laughter. We called it "Snowing in August (inTexas)". What was not so funny was about two hours later when he did it again, this time three times worse!!! I think I am still picking up will white styrofoam balls with the vacuum.
Bad service tonight
We went to the Roadhouse for supper tonight. The service was bad!!!!!! We had a large party thought so gratuity was included. I think we should have given it to my husabnd though, at one point we was serving tea to us all!

Pap-Paw is coming in...
My grandfather, who is alomost 90, is coming down for a visit today. They will get to stay four days. The last time he saw Merritt, Merritt was two. Wow! Can't wait to see him!
My party
Friday was my last day at a job I have had for four years. The girls gave me a wonderful going away party., complete with cake, drinks, cookies, flowers, etc. They invited my famliy and friends from other offices. When Merritt found out that he was coming to a party, he told grandma that we could not come without a gift., so he wrapped up a dinosaur (that made roaring sounds) to give to me. When he handed me the package, he was so proud. Of course I had to open it right then. I t was the perfect present for my last day!
As a side note, I also recieved a lovely picture frame and the most gourgeous heart. We saw them the other day eating out. The company has a website, www.collecthearts.com
I got the little boy blue heart. The heart is beautiful, but the poem makes it. I tried to read it to everybody, but couldn't get through the first sentence! When you are wanting to pull your hair out, or your son's, the poem will put you back in focus!

"Praise Ye the Lord"
Last sunday a church was Grandparents Day. Our childrens choir sang during the service. We sang the song Hallieu, Hallieu. The girls sag the Hallieu and the boys sang Praise ye the Lord. Well I guess I should say, all the boys except Merritt sang, Merritt yelled. It was so funny. After church, all the older people came up to Merritt and were telling him how great he sang. I guess it was because he was loud enough to hear accross the street. lol
Soccer game
Merritt scored three goals in the first quarter of his game. He was so great! In the third quarter, about two minutes into play, Merritt and another kid bump heads and he came off the field crying. There might be a big bruise brewing, cause it is really red! He sat out to "recover" for a while, but did not score anymore. I was acting kind of timid, but that could be beacuse a little girl that he plays with alot showed up. He even held an umbrella for her to keep the sum off!

Tipping....
I am glad to give tips where tips are due. Example: the other night, DH and DS and I went to eat. at a local family resturant. Our waitress was very polite, got the food out on time, got the drinks and anyother things we needed or asked for. We were glad to leave a $4.83 tip on a $20.17 bill. On the other hand, a few days ago at lunch (a a buffet style resturant), the waitress only came to check on our table one time, never re-filled our tea, never siad thank you. Did she deserve a tip?
Hello everyone. Welocme to my blog. I will attempt to share with you all the fun things about "life with Merritt", my ds. Hope you enjoy!
